Excursion to the Chiapas Jungle

cacao y biodiversidad

Cacao & Jungle

Guided by our partners, local families, we trek through local forests to
witness the great diversity of the flora and fauna of the Lacandon jungle.
As a whole, the experience is designed to renew our appreciation for
nature by acknowledging ourselves as part of it. Thus, we will celebrate
the great cocoa harvest festival with the Earth.

Cacao & Harvest

We invite you to participate in the rituals of the harvest while
learning more about cacao, indigenous to Mexico, where our
people have grown and consumed cacao for thousands of years.

Experience the origins of cacao by seeing cacao pods grown in the jungle, harvested by the families who have cared for the land for generations, see the traditional collection methods and natural fermentation process as well as learn how we transform from raw cacao into fine chocolate.
